New Wednesday Night Bible Study

You don't have to live long to be faced with disappointment and grief, whether you're a follower of Jesus or not. As Christians, we turn to God's word to learn how to cope during these times, and we come across the book of Ecclesiates. If you've ever read over Ecclesiastes, you may have asked yourself, "I wonder why God has this in his word?" It can seem harsh, and even a bit depressing with its refrains of "there's nothing new under the sun," and "vanity, vanity, all is vanity." But God purposely gave us Ecclesiates so we could understand Him, ourselves, and this world better, and learn to love him more. And we have something the original readers didn't: we have further words of God, the words of Jesus and the New Testament writers.

This seven-week Bible study will look at what God says in Ecclesiastes and use the words we have this side of the cross to answer the question, "How do we both embrace the truths presented in this book and live in the hope we have in Christ?" We invite all of you to join us in diving into God's word so we can love Him better and trust Him more.
