How many of you remember ABC’s show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with host Ty Pennington? There were some really touching family stories to go along with a lot of specially designed rooms, weren’t there? A home “makeover” is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately, much of the world doesn’t have a home to make over.

But what if I told you that you could be part of a team that gives a family their own home, that you could help build the home with your own hands, that you could be an eyewitness to the family’s joy when they receive the keys to their new home, that you could pray over them and their household?

Wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?

If you answered, “Yes,” Spectrum’s Global and Local Outreach (GLO) team invites you to consider joining our house building team going to Tijuana, Mexico from May 24-26.

“Wait! Is it a problem that I don’t have any construction experience?” you ask.

Not to worry! No need to be a Bob Villa type or have ever swung a framing hammer or taped and mudded drywall. Guided by an able construction team from Kingdom Builders Ministries in Mexico, it is a virtual paint-by-numbers approach to putting up the 16’ x 20’ two-room home fitted with electrical wiring and a loft. Even clumsy hands can find success!
