Spectrum Church Irvine

A non-denominational church located in Irvine, California.

Mission and Vision

Spectrum Church Irvine is a fellowship of everyday missionary disciples with a mission to be disciples who make disciples and a vision to intentionally embrace God’s mission in all the places where we live, work, learn, and play.  We are excited about growing in God’s love, living each day as his disciples, partnering with him in mission, and celebrating his presence in the world and in our lives. Our community nurtures three key relationships: our relationship with God (UP), our relationship with followers of Jesus (IN), and our relationship with others – to bless them in the name of Christ (OUT).

Values

CHURCH AS A PEOPLE

We are a Spirit-filled people collectively forming the body of Christ and worshipping God together. Spectrum Church seeks to be a base of ministry, not simply a place of ministry. As we encourage, teach, and disciple in community, we actively encourage each other to live as disciples and to make disciples.

Ministry By All

We welcome and anticipate everyone’s ongoing, active contribution where we freely give of our time, talent and treasures as our worship response to God. Further, we recognize that ministry is not limited to a select few, but that all of us are gifted or can be equipped with the full spectrum of spiritual gifts and ministry roles that we find in the Scriptures.

Equipping of Disciples

We are teachable and we teach one another, just like Jesus’ original disciples, so that we are equipped and empowered with practical tools to live our lives as Jesus’ followers in our homes, neighborhoods, places of work, schools, and in our travels.

Living Sacrificially

We are willing to sacrifice our resources, our time, and our lives for the sake of the glory of God among those with spiritual and physical needs, throughout our community, and throughout the world. We do this because Jesus modeled ultimate sacrifice by giving up his privilege, position, and power, to become human like us in order to preach, teach, heal, serve and save the whole world through his life, death and resurrection.

Local/Global Impact

We seek to bless our local communities by sharing the Gospel and doing “good works” for people we may not necessarily know. We respond to God’s invitation to join him in his global mission by connecting to other ministries and churches around the world who have the same core values and goals to make disciples and live missionally. Additionally, we will provide fertile soil for those of us who feel called to disciple or serve others far from home.
