OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

We are excited to announce that Spectrum Church Irvine will again this year (2025) be supporting Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child (OCC) as a DROP-OFF CENTER for people and organizations who pack the boxes and need a place to drop them for processing.

Volunteers staffing the DROP-OFF CENTER serve our local community by:

  • Greeting and praying with people when they drop off their shoeboxes

  • Counting and packing the boxes into specially designed cartons

  • Delivering the cartons to the Central Drop Off Center in Laguna Woods each day

Spectrum Church will be open as a Drop-Off Center in November 17-24. Specific times will be announced sometime in the next month.

In addition to serving as the drop-off center, we will continue our annual shoebox drive. Those wishing to fill a shoebox can pick them up on Sundays starting October 19. Once they are filled with small, age-appropriate gifts, they can be returned to our Ministry Center no later than Sunday, November 16.

Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, seeks to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way through each shoebox gift.  Shoeboxes are filled by individuals, families, and businesses with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies and are shipped to children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, and disease.

Please join what God is doing in the world by volunteering to help with drop offs, or packing up a shoebox – or multiple shoeboxes. Consider taking an extra shoebox and think about at least one other person you can invite to participate.
