Why did we choose the name “Spectrum” for our church? It was chosen to reflect the beauty, diversity, and fullness of God’s light and love. Just as a prism reveals a spectrum of colors when light shines through it, we believe the love of Christ—when reflected through His people—radiates in many expressions: grace, compassion, truth, justice, and joy. Jesus called His followers the light of the world, and we take that calling seriously. As we walk in His light, we seek to be a transforming presence in our city and beyond—offering hope to the hurting, peace to the restless, and the good news of salvation to all. In every conversation, act of service, and gathering of worship, we aim to shine the light of Jesus into the everyday spaces of life.

That light is made visible not just through individuals, but through a diverse and united community. “Spectrum” also symbolizes the beauty of God’s image reflected in people of all backgrounds, ages, and stories—each uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit. Together, we form one body with many parts, each playing a vital role in the mission God has entrusted to us. Some teach or lead, others create or serve, while many encourage, pray, and extend compassion. Our diversity is not a challenge to overcome but a strength to celebrate. As we serve side by side—bringing our different experiences, skills, and callings—we become a living mosaic of God’s love in action, a church on mission together for the sake of the world.
